DONATIONS & SUPPORT
Our main mission is to affirm, uplift and support others on a community scale.
We will select at least one of our products, and give back a portion of its revenue to different non-profit and grassroots organizations that do local, active, hands-on work to help people of color, women, the LGBT community and other marginalized groups rise above systems of oppression.
Here is our intention behind this:
- We want to put our money where our mouth is, and any monetary donation, big or small, can help a person or organization gain necessary resources. This is one direct way to support others. We hope that as we grow, so will our donations to other groups.
- Some of our posters may relate to social issues or simply affirm the experiences of marginalized groups. We aim to highlight, inform, invoke change, spark conversation and transform how we think, feel and talk about ourselves and others. Selling products related to this should mean that something goes back to the communities and experiences we are highlighting.
- Donating to large non-profits is okay, but we believe turning to our neighbors & looking at the initiatives within our communities can be a great way to create direct and impactful change.
On this page, going forward, you can find who we're currently raising money for, which product(s) will have a % of revenue donated, who we've donated to in the past and how much we've donated.
If you would like to donate directly to the organization(s) we are supporting (go you!!), in addition to the % we will donate from your order, we have conveniently linked their direct website/support pages below:

February 2021 Donations:
We donated 50% of our revenue from our Angela Davis Poster to The Black Doula Project in collaboration with the Friday Fundraising Collective (FFC) in honor of Black History Month. Together, PHAZE x FFC made a total contribution of $6,071, marking FFC's highest and most successful fundraising week at the time. PHAZE SHOP raised $200 through orders of the Angela Davis poster and made this donation directly to The Black Doula Project on February 28, 2021.
The Black Doula Project is a not-for-profit organization, which operates as a fund to cover birth and postpartum doula services for Black families in the DC and Greater Baltimore region. The Black Doula Project is committed to reducing health inequity and closing gaps in care for Black parents during pregnancy and childbirth. Donate directly to The Black Doula Project here.
December 2020 Donations:
We donated revenue from our PHAZE Type Logo stickers and revenue from Love & Compassion poster in Pink, 11"x17" to For The Gworls. We made a total donation of $24.99 on January 6, 2021 and sent 10 free Love & Compassion posters to FTG, to be distributed to recipients of their Rent Fund.
For The Gworls (FTG) is a Black, trans-led collective that curates parties to fundraise money to help Black transgender people pay for their rent, gender-affirming surgeries, smaller co-pays for medicines/doctor's visits and travel assistance. Due to COVID-19, they will not be hosting parties until it is safe to do so, but they are still accepting donations and distributing funds.
